In sickness…

Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed.

Remember that even though we pray and have faith, the outcome and timing are God’s decisions. He says there is a “time to heal” (Ecclesiastes 3:3). If you pray for healing and nothing happens, don’t beat yourself up for it… Keep praying, but know God’s decision is the bottom line.

Sickness can jolt a marriage. When one or both spouses get sick the entire home is troubled. The “in sickness…” part of our wedding vows sometimes gets tested to the extreme when we are called to consistently show love toward an extra needy spouse. The Bible teaches us to pray regardless. When your spouse gets sick, show them some special love and continue to pray for their recovery.
