If your marriage has grown stale

Ephesians 4:31 Amplified Bible
Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarrelling (brawling, clamour, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

If your marriage has grown stale, look in the mirror and ask God how He can use it to transform the person looking back at you. If you have let bitterness seize your heart, stop praying for your spouse to change and ask God to change you. Most marriages can survive temporarily “falling out of love.” But you’re headed for disaster if you ever let yourself fall out of repentance.
– Gary Thomas, from the Ncfliving.org article, The Transforming Miracle of Marriage

God’s plan for you is to have a good marriage. bitterness, wrath, resentment, quarrelling and slander do not make for a good marriage at all. Try your very best to avoid these actions and replace them with the character of Christ.  If you continue struggling with the above, consider speaking to a Christian counsellor as soon as possible.
