Love your neighbour as yourself.
If you wait until you FEEL like loving, you’ll be stuck forever.
A marriage that acts like a great marriage can become a great marriage.
Loving your spouse as you love yourself means that you so deeply identify with your spouse that you feel the effects of your own behaviour on your spouse. It means that you think of ways to make your spouse’s life better. It means that you want the best for your spouse, even when your spouse can’t see what it is. “Agape” is love that seeks the welfare of the other person. It is love that has nothing to do with how someone is gratifying us at the moment. It has to do with what is good for the other.
