Don’t try to fix him/her

Proverbs 21:2
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes.

If your husband (or wife) is not a full-time fool, so to speak,
but  he (or she) does occasionally engage in foolish behaviour,

don’t try to fix him (or her). God is the only one who can do that.
Your job is to love him (or her) and pray for him (or her).

All healthy marriages encounter times of disagreement. Both of you may think that you are right and be unwilling to budge. Attitude is key in such times. Remember to remain open to correction and teachable to the Lord’s Spirit. Ask the Lord to reveal His truth to both of your hearts in times of resistance. Keep praying for your spouse to have wisdom and godly counsel.
