Sowing and reaping love

Matthew 7:12
Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behaviour:  Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.

We don’t have any trouble treating God right, but we need to work at treating each other right.
– Joyce Meyer

When we sow love, we can expect to reap a harvest of love.  Consider your marriage as a “garden”.  You can choose what to plant or uproot in that garden.  Bad attitudes can become like weeds in your relationship.  Showering your spouse with love encourages beautiful flowers to flourish.  To a large degree you can determine the state of your garden.  If you allow weeds to grow, it may take some time and hard work to uproot them.  However, if you continue to sow good seeds, your relationship will become like a beautiful oasis where you and your spouse can be refreshed.
